City based heathcare services startup DocTree has launched its Android mobile app designed to help the doctors and hospitals provide an instant quote for patients' medical needs. Doctree, a virtual hospital portal provides vital details and options on pricing, expertise and medical solutions to people.
A patient only needs to provide key details like the solution they seek, medical history and upload documents if any, location etc., and Doctree would offer provide a choice of experts suitable for that particular need along with the best prices within 24 hours of the request.
The concept for this web-based service enables a consumer to search and select healthcare providers via a two way dynamic online process. Doctors will review the patients’ treatment needs and hospitals will offer discounted prices.
With the DocTree mobile App now, doctors can access the portal while on the move and provide instant quotes on the medical solutions to patients. It is specifically designed for the medical fraternity new to DocTree as well as the healthcare industry.
“With our new mobile App we are allowing the doctors to make an easy access to the portal and provide instant quotes thus fastening the process and enabling a patient to make an informed choice”, said Dr Sreenivasan Narayana, CEO& Founder, DocTree. The patient just needs to make a choice of the doctor along with the price and print a voucher that would have that guaranteed negotiated price for a surgical procedure.
The idea is based on the need for more openness and transparency in Indian healthcare system. “Patients need to play a more proactive role in the choices they make, for which they need rich and transparent information on healthcare availability, accessibility and affordability. We strongly believe that for every patient there is a doctor match available within his/her budgets. There is no way that a patient has to neglect health due to cost constrains”, said Dr Madhav Hegde, Director Medical Services, DocTree.
“Each one of us prefers convenience without having to compromise on the quality and apps have been able to bring about this transition easily. With the help of the DocTree App, things have been simplified and one can monitor the profile on the portal without having to login. This has reduced the response time to a patient’s query drastically and we can now provide our quotes promptly even when we are on the move after carefully going through the patient details,” said
Dr. Ravishankar HR, a Bangalore based senior medical professional.
The app works in conjunction with the DocTree portal with responses, feedback and engagement on daily activities that result in better healthcare outcomes. DocTree aims to usher in a whole new way in which patients will access healthcare and, how doctors will connect with patients. By bringing cost, consultation and procedure under one roof, DocTree enables effective information exchange so that healthcare can truly match the need of a patient.
